We are planning to buy this house but have no experience with a dirt crawl space.

Old stone foundation, 161 years old. Want someone to take a look at a space or crack, also possibly insulation issues, before I put a deck on.

Two separate problems. 1. (The easy one). Water leaks in around the sewage pipe during heavy rains (This pipe goes out through the basement wall). The pipe is right there in plain sight beside my dryer. 2. (The harder one). In certain conditions (usually heavy rain when the ground is frozen) our finished basement floor is wet. I am assuming there is a crack in the foundation wall maybe? The wall is finished so this one is a bit more of a challenge. Perhaps it would be best tackled from the exterior? Looking for suggestions and some approximate pricing.
