Basement Waterproofing- Cocagne, NB
Challenge
In Cocagne, New Brunswick, a homeowner preparing to close on a new property encountered significant issues within the crawl space, characterized by a lack of support and potential moisture problems. With the closing date rapidly approaching, her real estate agent initiated contact with us at Ridgeback Basement Systems for a prompt and effective solution.
Solution
Our Customer Care Specialist quickly engaged with the homeowner to arrange a detailed inspection. Shortly thereafter, a thorough evaluation conducted by our System Design Specialist identified issues with insufficient support structures and a concerning level of moisture within the space. Our proposed solution centered around the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidification system, SilverGlo Wall Insulation, and SmartJack support posts. The execution was carried out by a dedicated team, starting with the installation of the SmartJack system. Galvanized steel columns, precisely cut to length, were set on engineered fill to solidify the floor’s stability, alongside the securement of beams to halt floor sagging. This created a solid backing for the structure. In parallel, SilverGlo Wall Insulation was installed. This advanced insulation not only provided an effective R-11 insulation value but also served as a vapor barrier to thwart moisture infiltration, propelling warmth throughout the space. Additionally, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was introduced to address high humidity and unwanted damp conditions, ensuring the environment was kept healthy and comfortable. The completion of these installations provided the homeowner with a reinforced, dry, and structurally sound crawl space, ready for the final property transaction. Through precision and expertise, Ridgeback Basement Systems delivered a lasting solution, reaffirming her confidence in the integrity of the home.
