Basement Waterproofing- Fredericton, NB
Challenge
A homeowner from Fredericton, New Brunswick, recently contacted us regarding a significant issue with their basement. They were experiencing foundation settlement, causing noticeable structural shifts. After reaching out to our Customer Care Specialist, an inspection was scheduled. Our System Design Specialist conducted an in-depth evaluation, identifying that the sinking house required reinforcement. The basement also displayed signs of water infiltration, raising concerns about future damage. With a reliable waterproofing solution essential for protecting the foundation and preventing water-related problems, our specialist recommended a comprehensive approach. Our production team was soon on-site to implement a solution tailored precisely to the home's needs.
Solution
We began by installing our IceGuard® sump pump discharge line system to ensure reliable water egress—even in the harshest winter conditions. Nearby, our SuperSump system was strategically set up to handle high water volumes and ensure continuous basement dryness with its robust Zoeller cast-iron pump. To encapsulate the area effectively, CleanSpace® was laid meticulously on the crawl space floor. Thanks to its durable polyethylene construction, this vapor barrier reduced moisture intrusion, decreasing risks of mold and structural damage. Additionally, we employed the WaterGuard® drainage system. Positioned under the basement floor, it discreetly directed seeping water away from the foundation towards the SuperSump, safeguarding the flooring and walls against potential damages. Thanks to our meticulous approach and proven solutions, the homeowner's basement was stabilized and secure, free from water woes. This renovation not only preserved the property's integrity but assured peace of mind, knowing their basement would remain dry and their house would stand stable for the years to come.
