Foundation Repair- Dartmouth, NS
Challenge
At Ridgeback Basement Systems, we recently assisted a homeowner in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with a concerning foundation crack that was allowing water to seep into their basement. The homeowner noticed widening cracks and increasing moisture, prompting a call to our Customer Care Specialist who swiftly scheduled an in-home inspection. Upon arrival, our System Design Specialist conducted a comprehensive assessment. The inspection confirmed that the crack wasn't just a cosmetic issue: water intrusion was evident, jeopardizing the foundation's integrity. We knew a reliable, long-term solution was necessary to ensure the homeowner's peace of mind.
Solution
We proposed the installation of the FlexiSpan® wall crack repair system, a robust solution proven to resolve water leakage problems. Our skilled production team was deployed to the site, comprising experienced foremen and installers. First, a flexible sealant was carefully applied along the crack to create a dependable primary barrier. Following this, a strip of flexible, porous foam was installed to redirect any potential water infiltration. Finally, an impermeable membrane was securely adhered to the wall, establishing a comprehensive, fail-safe system for water management. By implementing the FlexiSpan® system, we effectively redirected any future water seepage into the home's existing perimeter drainage system, offering long-lasting protection against water damage. The result? A dry and stable basement, free from further intrusion risk, and a confident homeowner reassured by the stability of their foundation. At Ridgeback Basement Systems, it is our mission to deliver exceptional service and enduring solutions to foundation and waterproofing issues. This project is a testament to our commitment to advancing home stability and safety in Dartmouth and beyond, one foundation at a time.
