Basement Waterproofing- Lower Economy, NS
Challenge
In Lower Economy, NS, a homeowner reached out to Ridgeback Basement Systems due to long-standing seepage issues in their cinder-block basement. The dampness had rendered the space unusable for years, stemming from weakened mortar and persistent drainage problems. Seeking a reliable and permanent solution, they contacted us through our Customer Care Specialist, resulting in a scheduled home inspection.
Our System Design Specialist visited the home, carrying out a comprehensive assessment to diagnose the root causes of the water intrusion. Based on detailed observations, a plan was devised involving our innovative product line to address the specific needs of the basement.
Solution
Our production team set to work, beginning with the installation of the CleanSpace® system. This high-grade encapsulation solution effectively covered the basement, curbing moisture intrusion and preventing mold growth. The WaterGuard® system was then installed, positioned above the footing and under the floor, to redirect water seepage discreetly to the SuperSump system. The SuperSump, equipped with a high-capacity Zoeller pump, was strategically installed to manage excess water, efficiently pumping it out of the home.
To safeguard against potential blockages from frozen discharge lines, we integrated the IceGuard® technology. This component provided assurances by automatically releasing trapped water, ensuring basement dryness even in harsh winter conditions.
Our intervention transformed the once-damp basement into a dry and usable space for the homeowner once again. They now enjoy peace of mind, knowing that their home's foundation is fortified against moisture complications, reflective of our mission to deliver remarkable customer experiences and dependable solutions that last.
