Basement Waterproofing and Crawlspace Repair- Pointe-Du-Chene
Challenge
In a recent project in Pointe-Du-Chene, NB, a homeowner reached out to us with concerns about their crawl space. They had previously worked with another company to remove old vapor barrier plastic, and they now needed a new and effective solution. This situation was affecting their home’s environment, contributing to moisture issues that could potentially lead to mold growth and other structural problems. After the initial contact with our Customer Care Specialist, we scheduled a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection, quickly diagnosing the significant moisture challenges in the crawl space. Our recommended solution not only addressed this immediate issue but also fortified the space against future problems.
Solution
Our installation team proceeded meticulously. We installed our CleanSpace® encapsulation system, a system much superior to standard off-the-shelf materials, ensuring a robust vapor barrier that would keep the space dry. Alongside, a SuperSump® sump pump system was fitted to effectively funnel accumulated water out, managing water pressure and preventing flooding with reliable components. To complement it, the IceGuard® discharge line system was implemented to ensure the pump remains effective even during freezing conditions. Additionally, to regulate humidity and purify air quality, the SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was installed. This efficient unit improves air conditions both in the crawl space and throughout the home. Lastly, we addressed any structural concerns with the SmartJack® system, which stabilizes and reinforces the crawl space beams, lifting flooring above to their proper positioning. With the completion of this work, the homeowner now enjoys a dry, healthy, and stable home environment. The solutions we provided addressed both current concerns and potential future issues, reflecting our commitment to reliable and long-lasting home solutions.
