Foundation Repair- Sydney, New Glasgow
Challenge
At Ridgeback Basement Systems, we recently completed a foundation repair project for a homeowner in Sydney, New Glasgow, who was preparing to sell their property. They faced a pressing issue with their foundation walls, which showed signs of inward movement—a problem that could complicate the sale and impact property value. The homeowner reached out to us via our Customer Care Specialist, who swiftly arranged a home inspection.
Solution
Our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough evaluation and identified the root cause of the problem as failing foundation walls. Recognizing the urgency, we recommended the installation of our advanced PowerBrace™ System. On the scheduled date, our dedicated production team arrived to implement the solution. The process began by precisely sizing zinc-plated steel beams to fit the basement’s height. These beams were anchored securely against the basement wall using brackets that tied into the flooring below and the first-floor framing above. This structured method ensured that the braces could be adjusted and tightened over time, providing ongoing stabilization and possibly even reversing wall failure. By project’s end, the foundation walls were securely supported, thereby preventing any future inward movement. This solution offered the homeowner peace of mind, particularly as they prepared to transition to new ownership. The result was a structurally sound and market-ready home—demonstrating our commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience and long-lasting foundations at Ridgeback Basement Systems.
